Addison Conklin recorded a season high 18 points to lead the Penquis girls basketball team to a 42-24 win over Lee Academy on Tuesday night. The junior also recorded eight rebounds, three steals, two assists, and made 2 three-pointers.
Penquis outscored Lee 20-9 in the second half. Rachel Broussard had 10 points and eight rebounds. Aileen Strout added seven points and six rebounds for the Patriots. The Patriots played strong defense throughout, recording 15 steals. Penquis (5-5) will host PVHS on Thursday and PCHS on Saturday. The Saturday game against the Pirates can be seen live on Eastern Maine Sports Media, with coverage starting at 11:45 AM.
The Pandas were led by Aubrey Gifford with eight points and Hayden Soucy with six. Lee (1-7) will play at Stearns on Thursday.
