All five of the Eastern Maine Sports staff members went 1-1 with their picks on Conference Championship Sunday almost two weeks ago. This Sunday is the granddaddy of all sporting events as Super Bowl LVII will commence at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The Kansas City Chiefs are making their sixth trip overall to the big game (AFL and NFL), and their first since Patrick Mahomes and his team lost to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LIV 31-9. Mahomes will be looking to win his second title, as his first came in the 2019 season over San Francisco 31-20. The Philadelphia Eagles return to the Super Bowl for the first time since they won their first championship over New England in the 2017 season, and their fifth overall since the AFL-NFL merger. Here are the results from Conference Championship Sunday, the season standings, and the projections for Super Bowl LVII. The standings currently is how they end up either way, see you again for the 2023 season!
