After losing the series to Mookie Betts and the Los Angeles Dodgers in a 7-4 defeat on Sunday afternoon, the Boston Red Sox begin another crucial three game series with a team they’re chasing for the American League wildcard the Houston Astros on Monday night at Fenway Park.
Houston and Texas are currently tied for that second wildcard spot, with Toronto 2.5 back and Boston 4.5. The Sox just split a four game set with the Astros last week at Minute Maid Park, after losing the first two. With 31 games left in the regular season, this series will be huge if Boston wants to stay in the picture. Here are the pitching matchups-
