The Eastern Maine Sports staff is back for another year of our weekly NFL picks. Jeff Hoak won the contest for a second time in 2022-23 posting a record of 184-98, beating out Marc Calnan (179-103) and Chris Lessner (174-108). Along with our other returning players in Anthony DelMonaco and Cassidy Godin, we also welcome in our newest player into the contest in Gabe Nason. Week 1 kicks off Thursday night as the defending World Champion Kansas City Chiefs led by Patrick Mahomes will host the Detroit Lions. The New England Patriots begin play on Sunday when they welcome in the defending NFC Champion Philadelphia Eagles. Aaron Rodgers begins his next chapter in the Big Apple as his new team the New York Jets finish up the week by hosting the Buffalo Bills in an AFC East showdown. The staff thinks the Dolphins-Chargers and Bills-Jets game will be the most competitive, while the Ravens and Bears will roll to wins. Here are all the projections from our staff for Week 1-
