Another above .500 week last week has the predictions headed into the right direction early on. This week a Hockey East home and home series between Maine and UMass-Lowell highlights the predictions while Boston University heads to Big 10 territory to face Michigan in a non conference series and I will pick both games there as well.

Last week 2-1-1  Season record 10-6-4

Last weeks results:

Friday 11/4

Boston College 6 Maine 1 incorrect pick

Boston University 4 Northeastern 4 tied pick

Saturday 11/5

Boston College 3 Maine 2 correct pick

UMass-Lowell 4 Vermont 2 correct pick

This weeks games:

Friday, November 11

#5 UMass-Lowell (6-2-2, 2-0-0 Hockey East) at Maine (3-5-2, 0-2-0)

Maine is mired in a seven game winless streak and doesn’t get any easier as the Riverhawks invade the Alfond Arena for the opener of a home and home weekend series. Lowell swept #19 Vermont at home last weekend while Maines struggles continued getting swept by BC.

The pick-  The Bears struggles continue as the Riverhawks take Game 1. UMass-Lowell 4, Maine 3

#4 Boston University (4-2-1) at #18 Michigan (4-3-1)

The Terriers head to the Midwest to open a non conference series with the Wolverines. BU comes off a tie and a win last weekend at Northeastern while Michigan topped Arizona State on the road last Friday 4-1 in their lone game of the weekend.

The pick-  This should be a great series and I will go with the home team to take the matchup Friday. Michigan 3, Boston University 1

Saturday, November 12

Boston University at Michigan

The Wolverines go for the weekend non conference sweep.

The pick- Terriers leave Michigan with the non conference split against a nationally ranked opponent. Boston University 2, Michigan 1

Sunday, November 13

Maine to UMass-Lowell

The weekend series finishes up on the road for Maine as they travel into Tsongas Arena for a rare 3 o’clock Sunday showdown.

The pick- Let’s face it Maine is not a good road team and the ‘Hawks are rolling right now. The winless streak goes to nine for the Bears. UMass-Lowell 5, Maine 2
