Projected #1 pick and Newport, Maine native Cooper Flagg declared for the NBA Draft he announced on social media on Monday morning.
Flagg who averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists in his freshman season at Duke, was just the fourth freshman in history to win the Wooden Award that is given to the top men’s college basketball player. He helped lead the Blue Devils to the Final Four, where they fell to Houston in the national semifinals. The Utah Jazz, Charlotte Hornets, and Washington Wizards have the best chance to get the #1 pick in the NBA Draft on June 25th.
