Jayden Meader (Mt. Blue) scored the game winning run as UMF walked off a 7-6 win over University of Maine at Augusta in game one of a doubleheader on Wednesday.
Ike Wrigley (Mt. Blue) had a homer, two RBI, and two runs scored for the Beavers. Ryan Sargent (Windham), Paul Vachon, and Matt Marquis (Monmouth) had two hits each. TJ Dorn (Westbrook) earned the win with three innings of scoreless relief.
Jacob Plamondon had three hits and three RBI. Cash Bizier (Messalonskee) and Tristan Anderson had two hits each.
Jameson Bloch had two hits and three RBI to lead the Beavers to a 6-4 game two win. Vachon had two hits and two RBI. Greyson Bell also had two hits. Aaron Goschke pitched five strong innings to earn the win.
