Mikelle Verrill fired a two hitter and Addy Waning hit a homer to lead Hermon softball to a 10-0 win over MDI on Tuesday afternoon.
Verrill had two hits and three RBI, including a two run single to get the scoring started in the first inning, she also had a double. The Hawks added four runs in the third inning, Waning hit her two run homer in the fourth inning. Hermon ended the game with two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Waning had two hits, Molly Simcox had two hits and two runs scored. Verrill didn’t issue a walk and struck out five in her complete game effort.
