Makayla Cook went 3-3 with a walk, double and a grand slam plus picked up the win in the circle, allowing two hits and three walks, while striking out four in 19-0 win over Greenville. Cook was voted female athlete of the week in one of our closest votes ever. Cook edged out Shay Ireland (PVHS) by 31 votes – 2217 to 2186.
Cook joins Isaiah Bess (5) (3-4-13), Trevor Lyford (3) (2-23-14), Cymeria Robshaw (2) (10-28-18), Camryn Rolfe (9-30-18), Alvin Robshaw (9-29-21), Abbie Conlogue (10-25-22, Brooklyn Decker (2) (1-1-25), and Brenan Grant (1-1-25) as student/athletes from Penquis High School that have earned athlete of the week honors.
