The Trenton Acadians held on Wednesday afternoon to beat the Old Town/Orono Twins 9-8 in a Senior Legion baseball game played at Mansfield Stadium in Bangor.
Joey Wellman-Clouse provided the game winning run scoring Dawson Curtis with a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning. The Twins had runners on first and second in the bottom of the seventh, but the Acadians turned a double play to end it. Brady Pert led Trenton with three hits and three RBI, while Logan Crowley had two hits, two RBI, and scored two runs. Miles Palmer picked up the pitching win in relief by going 2.0 innings allowing three runs on three hits. James Trott, Jack Brewer, and Bradly Dill had two hits each for Old Town/Orono. Dill drove in three runs, while Brewer had two RBI and Avery Jordan also drove in two. Kason Bagley reached base three times with three walks, stole two bases, and scored three times. Trenton will play a second game on Wednesday night vs the Bangor Comrades.
