No blemishes except another tie on my record last week as we try to digest all those favorite Thanksgiving fixings and swing into Week 8. Alot of non-conference matchups this weekend. Maine plays one single game in Portland Saturday, while I feature three other Hockey East teams in non-conference games in this weeks edition.

Last weeks record 3-0-1 Season record 16-7-5

Last weeks results:

Friday, November 18

Vermont 6, Maine 2 correct pick

Northeastern 5, Providence 4 correct pick

Saturday, November 19

Maine 2, Vermont 2 tied pick

Providence 5, Northeastern 4 correct pick

This weeks games:

Friday, November 25

#11 Minnesota (5-3-2) at Northeastern (4-5-4)

The Gophers make a trip to Boston for a pair of games on the weekend. Minnesota split a home and home with #15 Minnesota State last weekend, while Northeastern did the same in their home and home with #19 Providence.

The pick- Always a tough trip for a team to come from the Midwest to the East to play a game. I love the Huskies at home. NORTHEASTERN 3, MINNESOTA 2

Saturday, November 26

Brown (1-7-0) at Maine  (4-7-3) at Cross Insurance Arena, Portland

Maine plays against a struggling Brown Bears team. The Black Bears though have only gone 1-7-3 since their 3-0-0 start. Brown got swept last weekend in road games at Clarkson and St Lawrence while Maine lost and tied at Vermont.

The pick- We will take Maine to pick up their fifth win in a game they should control. MAINE 4, BROWN 1

New Hampshire  (6-5-2) vs Cornell (3-3-1) at Madison Square Garden, New York

A neutral site game between the Wildcats and the Big Red. New Hampshire has played better hockey after a slow start and got two wins last week at home over UMass Friday and RPI Tuesday. Cornell split last weekend at home losing to #4 Quinnipiac Friday, before beating Princeton Saturday.

The pick- This game should be closely contested but I like how UNH is playing right now. UNH 4, CORNELL 3

Sunday, November 27

Minnesota at #4 Boston College  (11-3-1)

The Eagles face the Gophers at Conte Forum on the back end of Minnesotas two game Boston trip. BC beat UConn on the road 5-2 Tuesday, after they had fallen 5-2 on the road Friday at Harvard.

The pick- Two losses for the Gophers on the weekend as the Eagles pick up a strong home win. BC 5, MINNESOTA 2
