2015-16 RECORD 11-9
– We graduated one senior and really had some younger players start to blossom at the end of the season.
– We should be very competitive within our big east league.
– Our size is a big strength, we should be tough to matchup with in the post.
– Another positive for us will be our added depth.
– Our challenge will be keeping a balanced offense.

We are going to be senior heavy this year. I expect to get some senior leadership from Grace Bickford. Grace is a player that can do many things for us including handle the ball, post up, play awing, rebound, etc. Grace and Abby Simpson were both named to the third team all-conference for us last year.

Abby Simpson was the leading rebounder and one of the top scorers for the big east last year. We expect big things from her. Kendra Ewer is another senior that will contribute in many ways. Kendra usually runs the point and is one of our best defenders. She really opened up as a shooter at the end of the season. She had five 3’s against Houlton in our quarterfinal game.

Alli and Abby Bourget are a couple more of our returning seniors. Both have started for us in the past and they are very quick. They do a good job scoring and have great noses for the ball on defense.

We have three seniors that will be playing for us that did not play last year. The first one is Makayla McCorrison who will have have a role as a defensive stopper. Emily Mikoud will have a big impact for us rebounding. She is 6′ and very athletic. Another new senior will be Rebecca Huettner. Rebecca is 6’3″ with a good nose for getting rebounds, plays great defense, and is a tremendous worker.

Our line junior is Avery Nelson. Avery has a great understanding of the game and can fill many roles. Sophomore Makenzie Beaudry will produce for us on the scoreboard and rebounding. She will be one to watch. Cailin Seavey will be the other sophomore on the roster. Cailin is a very bright basketball player. She can fill many roles defensively and offensively. Cailin really started to come into her own last year taking on special defensive assignments.

We have two freshmen, Olivia Wesley and Cassidy Marsh. They will both be good defenders and we are looking for some perimeter presence from them offensively.
