Maine men’s hockey picked fourth in Hockey East Coaches Poll

Hockey East released their 2025-26 Preseason Men’s Coaches Poll on Tuesday, and Boston University is the league favorite headed into the new season.

The Terriers had 105 points in the poll with seven first place votes, followed by Providence (three first place votes, 91 points), and UConn (no first place votes, 90 points). Maine was picked fourth with one first place vote and a total of 87 points. The Black Bears were picked to finish fourth in the poll last regular season and were second to Boston College, but won the Hockey East Tournament Championship by defeating UConn in Boston.
