Red Sox eliminated in a decisive Game 3 of the AL Wild Card by the Yankees

Rookie Cam Schlittler dazzled Boston bats, and led the Yankees to the American League Division Series vs Toronto with a 4-0 win over the Red Sox in the decisive Game 3 of the Wild Card Thursday night at Yankee Stadium. Schlittler went 8.0 innings and allowed five hits with no walks and 12 strikeouts. He threw 107 pitches (75 for strikes).

Boston rookie Connelly Early went 3.2 innings, giving up all four New York runs in the fourth (three earned) on six hits with one walk and six strikeouts. Masataka Yoshida had two of the Red Sox five hits. Boston ends their 2025 season with a final record of 90-75.
