Juan Carlos Hernandez was a co-medalist on Sunday for the Husson men’s golf team as they competed in the Husky Classic in Portland against the University of Southern Maine.
Hernandez shot a career-best three under par (69) and tied Jaden Poirier from USM for the medal. Husson finished with a team total of 296, as the Huskies won the weekend meet with a total of 288. For the Eagles, Michael Bruce (Fort Fairfield) shot a one over par 73 (7th place), and Jace Cook (Calais) also finished tie for 10th with a three over 75. Ty Dickson and Bradley Chisholm both also posted a seven over 79.
Husson returns to play next Saturday and Sunday when they try to defend their North Atlantic Conference Title in Cobleskill, New York.
