It took regulation, overtime, and nine rounds of a shootout but the Philadelphia Flyers were able to prevail 3-2 over the Boston Bruins at Philadelphia on Tuesday night.
David Krejci and Brad Merchand each scored a goal in the third period to send the game to overtime. The Bruins outshot the Flyers 47-21.
