Speedway 95 gets rebranding under new owner Ricky Craven

In a press conference on Friday, October 24th Ricky Craven was joined by Curtis Simard (President and CEO of Bar Harbor Bank and Trust) to announce a 10-year partnership that will rebrand the former Speedway 95 in Hermon to be now known as Speedway Presented by Bar Harbor Bank and Trust.

Craven has made the promise to make Speedway the best short track on the East Coast. His purchase of Speedway 95 became final on Wednesday, October 22nd. Some of the changes he’s looking forward to are having four classes of vehicles racing, but for them to be full with 25 to 30 race cars in each class. To that extent, some of the changes to the track include a complete facelift for the back stretch, with the pit area moving forward 60-80 feet and an additional 40 stalls for racers. More announcements will follow in the coming weeks according to Craven.
