Anfernee Simons led six Celtics players in double figures with 25 points on Monday night, as Boston won their first game of the season with a 122-90 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans at the Smoothie King Center in Louisiana.
Simons shot 9-17 from the floor and hit 6-13 from three-point range, as Boston broke it open by outscoring New Orleans 35-12 in the fourth quarter. Simons also had six rebounds. Payton Pritchard (18), Luka Garza (16), Josh Minott (15), Jaylen Brown (15), and Derrick White (11) were the other double digit scorers for the C’s. Boston (1-3) will return home to host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night.
