Husson and UNE end their football regular seasons with dominant home wins

Husson University and the University of New England capped off their Conference of New England football regular seasons with wins on Saturday afternoon in both Bangor and Biddeford.

Maine Maritime Academy 7 @ Husson 48

*Max Clark had three touchdown passes and Jed Lober rushed for 112 yards and a score, as the Eagles rolled at the Winkin Complex. Mari Montgomery had four receptions for 164 yards and two touchdowns for Husson, who finishes the year at 4-6 and 3-4 in the conference. Auston Harris had 145 yards rushing and a touchdown for Maine Maritime Academy, who ends up winless in their first year back at the varsity level (0-10, 0-7 CNE).

New England College 3 @ UNE 59

*The Nor’Easters put up a season-best 740 yards of offense in throttling the Pilgrims at Blue Storm Stadium. Chris Lang went 21-24 passing for 271 yards and two touchdowns. Zak Ramos (20-120), Damien Jones (5-90), and Javin Willis (10-86) spearheaded the UNE rushing attack who had a total of 402 yards on the ground. Ramos and Jones had a TD each. John Germano had four catches for 83 yards and two scores. UNE is a program best 8-2 (5-2 in the CNE), and 6-0 at home for the first time ever. New England College finished up at 1-9 and 1-6.
