Husson women’s basketball outscored UMPI 28-8 in the second quarter on Saturday afternoon, rolling to an 88-44 win in their conference home opener in Bangor.
Saige Evans (Old Town) had a double double to lead the way for the Eagles with 20 points, 10 rebounds, two steals, and two blocked shots. Danielle Dow (MCI) also recorded a double double with 17 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, and four steals. Lily Roy (Wisdom) added 14 points and seven rebounds, while Sophia Carnes chipped in with 11 points, six steals, five assists, and three rebounds. Husson is now 4-1 and 3-0 in the North Atlantic Conference. Aleyah Mattheson (Hodgdon) had 17 points for the Owls, who fall to 1-7 and 0-3 in league play.
