Foxcroft girls have balance attack in win over Caribou

The Foxcroft Ponies turned up the defensive intensity in the second quarter and grabbed a 45-31 girls basketball win over Caribou on Tuesday, December 30th.

Maddie Muth and Kassidy Lebel each made a three pointer in the first quarter to spark the Ponies to a 17-11 lead.

Foxcroft only allowed two points in the second quarter as they took a 24-13 halftime advantage. Nola Mason went 4-4 from the free throw line in the third quarter as the Ponies maintained their lead.

Mason led the Ponies with 11 points, Addi Day had eight, Muth and Lebel each had seven points, while Alli Cook and Payson Hall chipped in with six a piece. Mason was named Hometown Nutrition player of the game. Foxcroft (6-1) will be at Washington Academy on Saturday.

Quinn Corrigan led the Vikings with eight points, while Carly Levesque and Peyton West added seven points each. Caribou (4-3) will host Mattanawcook on Saturday.
