Maine Maritime Academy women’s basketball stays unbeaten in NAC play

Maine Maritime Academy women’s basketball stayed unbeaten in North Atlantic Conference action on Tuesday afternoon by rolling past Vermont State University-Lyndon 86-35 in Castine.

Evelyn Dagan (George Stevens) led the Mariners with 15 points with the help of four 3-pointers. Addison Forry notched a double double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Jacquelin Castro added 12 points, while Hailey Blanchard contributed 10. Blanchard had nine rebounds, while Castro collected six. The Maine Maritime Academy defense held the Hornets without a field goal in the fourth quarter (0-8). VSU Lyndon falls to 8-5 and 3-3 in the NAC. The Mariners are now 8-4 and 8-0 in league play and will host UMaine-Farmington on Saturday afternoon.
