Husson men’s basketball shot 67% from the floor (26-29, 5-9 three-pointers) in the second half on Sunday afternoon and scored 67 points in a 113-99 North Atlantic Conference victory over Vermont State University-Lyndon in Lyndonville, Vermont.
Andre McCauley had a team-high 29 points to go along with six rebounds for the Eagles. Connor Heald put in 26 points and grabbed seven rebounds, and Eric Ahlers had a double double with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Gil Matondo also got into double figures with 16 points. Dylan Burpee (Southern Aroostook) also hauled in 10 rebounds and added six points. Gregory Gonyea Jr. had a game-high 32 points for the Hornets (5-10, 3-5 NAC). Husson (9-5, 8-1 NAC) has won four straight and will host Thomas College on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
