Brae Sonthonax scored 12 points in the second half to lead Narraguagus to a 51-43 boys basketball win over Penquis on Friday, January 16th.
The Patriots held a 20-13 halftime lead behind 12 first half points from Kooper Badger, including 10 in the second quarter.
Ben Thompson (9) and Sonthonax (7) combined to put in 16 points in the third quarter as the Knights scored 19. Badger beat the buzzer at the end of the third to even the score at 32.
Braydin Kennedy scored nine points in the fourth quarter, while the Knights went 8-10 from the free throw line in the final eight minutes to secure the win.
Badger led the Patriots with a game high 24 points and six steals. Jake Haffenreffer recorded 13 points, seven steals, and three blocks.
Sonthonax had 18 points and four rebounds to lead the Knights. Thompson had 12 points and seven rebounds.
