The Valley Cavaliers had four players finish in double figures and rolled to a 72-42 girls basketball win over Carrabec on January 30th.
Brianna Mills scored the first seven points as the Cavaliers jumped out to a 7-2 lead. Delia Hill put in 10 points in the first eight minutes to help Valley take a 24-14 lead.
The Cavaliers turned up the defense and only allowed four points in the second quarter to take a 36-18 advantage into halftime.
Liana Hartwell had 19 points, 13 rebounds, nine assists, and six steals to lead the way for the Cavaliers. Hill had 18 points and 11 rebounds, Kirsten Bigelow added 15 points, while Mills chipped in with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Hartwell was named Pine State Nutrition player of the game. Valley outrebounded Carrabec 52-21.
Lilly Kinney had a team-high 13 points for the Cobras.
