Bangor Christian boys use a pair of first half runs to end the regular season on a 11 game win streak

Bangor Christian used a pair of big runs in the first half on Monday night, and would roll to a 75-35 boys basketball win over Jonesport-Beals on Senior Night at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.

James Brasted led the Royals in the defeat with a game-high 24 points, while Bradley Kelley chipped in eight. Jonesport-Beals out of Class S finishes the regular season with a record of 11-7. The Patriots scored the first 18 points of the game, and after the Royals got on the scoreboard for the first time, BC would then score the next 14 in a row to help pull away. Rajon Reed had a team-high 19 points, while Drake Nash put in 12 points (four 3-pointers). Alden Stutheit added 11 points, and Jesse Booker contributed 10. Bangor Christian ends their regular season on a 11 game win streak with a record of 16-2, and will likely play their quarterfinal of the Class D North Regional Tournament on Saturday, February 14th. As part of Senior Night, Jesse Booker and Elliot Straubel were honored in a pre-game ceremony.
