Top seeded Jonesport-Beals boys roll past Deer Isle-Stonington in the quarterfinals

BANGOR- Jonesport-Beals got out to a 26-4 lead after the first quarter, and would cruise to a 77-25 Class S boys basketball quarterfinal win over Deer Isle-Stonington at the Cross Insurance Center on Tuesday evening.

Koben Robinson had a game-high 19 points and also added five steals and four rebounds in the victory for the top seeded Royals (12-7). Robinson was named the Pine State Nutrition player of the game. James Brasted added 13 points, Isaiah Robinson chipped in 11 points and eight rebounds, while Nathaniel Johnson contributed 10 points. Jonesport-Beals will face Shead in a semifinal game next Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Brantley Ciomei had nine points, six rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots for the #8 seeded Deer Isle-Stonington Mariners.
