Ava Lerman scored 40 points on Thursday afternoon in helping to lead Wisdom to a 65-14 Class S girls basketball quarterfinal win over Easton at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.
Lerman shot 16-22 from the floor and hit 5-6 at the foul line while also adding three assists and two rebounds for the top seeded Pioneers (18-1). Lerman was named the Pine State Nutrition player of the game. Peyton Roy chipped in 10 points, three rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Sophia Blackstone had eight points and three rebounds for the Bears.
