Katahdin jumped out to a 19-6 lead after the first quarter and held on for a 54-42 win over Van Buren in a Class S boys basketball quarterfinal game played on Thursday night at the Cross Insurance Center.
Calvin Richardson recorded 26 points, 11 rebounds, six steals, and five assists to lead the way for the Cougars. Bryten Hartsgrove added 18 points and eight steals. Katahdin will play Easton in a semifinal game on Tuesday, February 17th at 9 am.
Alex Violette had 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Crusaders.
