Allen and Burtt help Central Aroostook girls hold off Woodland in a Class D girls quarterfinal

Harleigh Allen and Lilly Burtt had 12 points each on Saturday, as #3 Central Aroostook held off #6 Woodland 39-36 in a Class D girls quarterfinal at the Cross Insurance Center.

Allen added five rebounds, three steals, two assists, and two blocks for the Panthers. Burtt chipped in nine rebounds, eight steals, and five assists. Maggie Mahan contributed nine points and four steals. Allen was named the Dirigo Nutrition player of the game.

Karleigh Smith had 14 points, and Mishun Cornelius put in 13 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and also had four blocks and three steals for the Dragons.
