Gardiner boys pull away from Hermon to advance to the regional championship game

Gardiner outscored Hermon 22-9 in the fourth quarter on Wednesday afternoon, pulling away to secure a 50-33 Class B boys basketball semifinal win at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.

Trace Moody led the Tigers with 14 points. Brady Atwater added 12 points and six rebounds, while Brady Peacock and Nick McKay each contributed eight points. Peacock also had six rebounds and two assists. Gardiner will face top seeded Cony in the regional championship game on Friday night at 8:45 p.m. Mason Kinney and Brody Hurd put in 10 points a piece for the Hawks, with Kinney also grabbing seven rebounds. Connor Kelly chipped in eight points.
