Top seeded Cony boys survive over Ellsworth in a Class B semifinal

Parker Morin had a game-high 26 points on Wednesday afternoon, as top seeded Cony survived by pulling out a 66-64 win over Ellsworth in a Class B boys basketball semifinal game played at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.

Morin also had eight rebounds, six steals, and two assists. Freshman Carter Braithwaite added 14 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Jackson Kay also put in 14 points. Cony will take on Gardiner in the Class B regional championship game on Friday night at 8:45 p.m. Eli Holler had 19 points, five rebounds, and three assists for the Eagles. Jackson Barry contributed 18 points and 11 rebounds. Evan Haskell and Bryce Hart would both put up nine points (three 3-pointers) and dish out three assists. Ellsworth had an opportunity to win the game and pull their second straight upset of the tournament, but a three-point attempt bounced off the back of the rim as the final buzzer sounded
