Maddie Provost had a game-high 19 points to help lead Lawrence past Ellsworth 47-42 in a Class B girls basketball semifinal game played at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor on Wednesday night.
Provost added five assists and three rebounds. Ashley Shores would also record a double double with 15 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists for the Bulldogs. Lawrence will take on top seeded Gardiner in the regional championship game on Friday night at 5 p.m. Kaylee Bagley led the Eagles with 16 points, four rebounds, and two steals. Austyn Atherton and Syndey Mason both also put in 10 points for Ellsworth. Atherton added four rebounds and three assists.
