Aden Jeffers scored 23 points, and Mason Pelletier had 20 on Thursday afternoon in leading Fort Kent to a 70-61 Class C boys basketball semifinal win over defending North Champion Mattanawcook Academy at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.
Jeffers added eight rebounds, five assists, and three steals for the Warriors. Pelletier nailed five 3-pointers. Fort Kent will advance to the Class C regional championship game on Saturday night at 8:45 p.m. Mattanawcook had four players in double figures led by Avery Jordan with 16 points. Kooper McCarthy also put in 13 with seven assists, and Andrew Oliver along with True Weatherbee had 10 points a piece. Weatherbee and Oliver had seven and six rebounds respectively for the Lynx.
