Nola Mason had seven of her game-high 16 points in the fourth quarter on Thursday night, as Foxcroft Academy defeated George Stevens Academy 46-35 in a Class C girls basketball semifinal game played at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.
Mason had a double double for Foxcroft as she also recorded 10 rebounds. Ali Cook, Maddie Muth, and Kassidy Lebel put in eight points each as the Ponies advance to the Class C regional final on Saturday night at 7 p.m. Taylor Grego had 11 points for George Stevens Academy, while Layla Hutchins and Aurora Simmons each put in nine points. Hutchins grabbed 12 rebounds for the Eagles, and Simmons hauled in 10.
