House, Turner, and De La Cruz spark Mattanawcook girls to semifinal win over Caribou

Megan House had 16 points (four 3-pointers) on Thursday night, as top seeded Mattanawcook Academy would pull away for a 59-43 Class C girls basketball semifinal win over Caribou at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.

House added seven rebounds, seven assists, and three blocked shots for the Lynx. Natalie Turner also put in 16 points (five 3-pointers) which matched House for the game-high, Chloe De La Cruz had 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Addison Cyr chipped in seven points and hauled down eight rebounds. Mattanawcook will take on Foxcroft Academy in the Class C regional championship game on Saturday night at 7 p.m. Quinn Corrigan led the Caribou Vikings with 13 points and five steals, Carly Levesque had 12 (four 3-pointers), and Peyton West contributed 10 points and six rebounds.
