After Husson softball lost their first game of the season against nationally ranked #23 Belhaven University on Wednesday 3-2 in Winter Haven, they bounced back by beating Albertus Magnus College 6-4 in their second contest of the day and on Thursday the Eagles knocked off Earlham College and #11 Moravian University.
Husson 5, Earlham 3- Allie Casavant two-run single, while Morgan Tainter and Lydia Rice (Winthrop) add one RBI each. Braelynn Wilcox (Hermon) records her first collegiate win in the circle allowing three runs on eight hits with two walks and two strikeouts in 5.0 innings. Ana Lang (Searsport) picks up her second save.
Husson 5, Moravian University 0- Jetta Shook (Bucksport) had the game winning two-run double and had two hits. Lang (5-1) a complete game three-hitter to get the pitching win with five walks and nine strikeouts.
Husson (11-1) takes on Carroll University and #16 Case Western Reserve University on Friday to finish up play in Florida.
