Husson baseball wrapped up play in the RussMatt Invitational in Davenport, Florida on Friday with a 10-4 loss to Wheaton College (Mass.). Matt Holmes (Bangor) had two more RBI for the Eagles and in six games in Florida he batted .333 with two homeruns and 16 runs knocked in. Husson (1-5) now returns back East where they’ll play a doubleheader at Massachusetts Institute of Technology next Saturday, March 21. The conference openers are the following weekend (3/28 & 3/29) on the road at SUNY Cobleskill.
