Wes Myers and Austin Howard both had career highs in points on Saturday afternoon to help rally the Maine Mens basketball team past Dartmouth College 73-68 at Leede Arena in Hanover, New Hampshire.
Myers had 31 points on 9-14 shooting from the floor (3-4 three point range), and Howard pumped in 23 points (8-11, 4-6) and had five rebounds to help Maine overcome a five point halftime deficit.
Evan Boudreaux had 19 points and 12 rebounds for Dartmouth (0-8). Guilien Smith chipped in with 12 points.
Maine had an early nine point lead in the first half, before Dartmouth took control and led by as many as 12 in the first 20 minutes of action.
Myers jumper with 1:17 left in the game gave Maine their first lead at 67-66, since they led 13-12 early in the first half.
Maine has now won two games in a row for the first time this year, and are now 4-6 on the season.
Maine returns to action next Sunday, December 18th when they host Quinnipiac at 1 p.m. at Cross Insurance Arena in Portland. Dartmouth hits the road Tuesday when they travel to Hartford for a 7 p.m. tipoff.
