Keegan Day shines in first game to lead Sacopee to win over Traip

Keegan Day shined in his first varsity baseball game. The freshman had three hits and pitched a complete game shutout with 12 strikeouts to lead Sacopee to a 25-0 season opening win at Traip on Thursday afternoon.

Silas Nielsen went 4-4 with two doubles, three runs scored and two RBI. Day had three runs scored and three RBI. Donovan Harvey and Tanner Hale had three hits and three runs scored each for the Hawks. Braiden Croteau reached base three times with two hits and two runs scored. Day allowed only three base runners (one hit and two walks). The Hawks ended the game win six freshmen on the field.
