Nokomis scored 14 runs in the fourth inning on Tuesday to pull away for a 20-0 season opening softball win over Foxcroft Academy.
Makenzie Watson had four hits and three RBI, while Addie Menard added three hits and drove in three. Watson (5), Reagan King (4), and Menard (3) combined to score 12 of the 20 runs. Nadalie Nickerson chipped in two RBI. Hallie Coots pitched the distance in the circle for the Warriors (5 innings) allowing just one hit with one walk and 10 strikeouts. Jenna Hartford had the hit for the Ponies.
