Preston Tripp from MDI was named The Sports Arena male athlete of the week (5/11-5/16). Tripp received 1779 votes.
Tripp is the 10th student athlete from MDI to earn athlete of the week honors and the first since 2022. He joins Tom Paola (5-24-14), Molly Carroll (6-7-14), Darcy Kanu (4-25-15), Kelsey Shaw (2-6-16), Seth Clark (4-22-17), Daisy Granholm (9-23-19), Spencer Laurendeau (9-22-21), Aiden Grant (9-27-22), and Cal Hodgdon (12-28-22).
Wyatt Young from George Stevens was runner up with 1647 votes. Other nominees were Adam Meserve- Edward Little, Brady Gaw- PCHS/Dexter, Jackson Berry- Ellsworth, Fisher Tewksbury- Valley, Gaige Farrar- Bangor Christian, Isaac Ritchie- Mattanawcook, Parker Morin- Cony, and Cayden Ala- Fort Fairfield.
