Jeremy Durost has stepped down as coach of the Penobscot Valley High School Howlers girls soccer team.
Durost has coached the Howlers the last five years. In November, the Howlers won their third straight state championship.
“This departure has been the plan all along, as I’ve had the privilege of coaching both my daughters, including my youngest for five seasons starting with her 8th grade year,”Durost said. “Being a teacher, Athletic Director, Town Recreation Director, and coaching two varsity sports takes a lot of time and commitment, so I’m ready to hand the soccer reins to someone else.“
Durost is the Athletic Director at PVHS. He plans on staying on as boys basketball coach for the Howlers. A girls soccer coach will be announced soon.
