Winslow jumped out to a 5-0 lead and held on for a 7-3 softball win at Morse on Friday afternoon.
Abbi Kiidli reached base on two hits, three runs scored, two RBI, and one walk to lead the Black Raiders offense. Maddy Cochran had two hits and one run scored. Prestyn Myatt had two hits and one run scored. Bella Loubier, Grace Melvin, and Kamryn Myatt had one RBI each. Melvin got the win in the circle, allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits and one walk with 10 strikeouts. Winslow (6-8) currently sits ninth in the Class C North standings. Top 10 will make the tourney. The Black Raiders will host Erskine on Saturday.
Callie Chesties and Rylea Herzog had two hits each for the Shipbuilders. Morse (3-10) will host Lincoln Academy on Monday.
