Maesyn Atherton from Skowhegan High School was named The Sports Arena female athlete of the week. Atherton received 3031 votes.
Atherton is the 14th student/athlete from Skowhegan High School and first since 2023 to earn athlete of the week honors. She joins Adam Dusty (10-20-11), Marcus Christopher (10-8-17), Ashley Alward (4-23-18), Alexis Michonsk, (9-16-18), Adelle Foss (10-7-18), Annie Cook (12-23-18), Sydney Ames (4-22-19), Emily Reichenbach (11-4-19), Jaycee Christopher (12-23-19), Laney LeBlanc (11-4-21),Sydalia Savage (11-11-21), Adam Savage (11-1-2022), and Silas Tibbetts ((5-11-23)
Eliana Kostopoulos from Windham was runner up with 2521 votes. Other nominees were Lana Waite- Dirigo, Ava Edes – PCHS, Harlee Gasser- Lewiston, Katie Murphy- Hall Dale, Natalie Stanwood- Narraguagus, and Emma Tripp- Bangor
