Hotham leads Dexter softball to win over Sumner

Elainah Hotham had three hits and six stolen bases to lead Dexter softball to an 11-4 win over Sumner on Saturday afternoon.

Abigail Trafton had two hits, two runs scored, and two RBI for Dexter. Kallie Stone had two hits and two RBI. Desiree Adams and Kaitlyn Cookson had two hits and one RBI each. Hotham and Allie Grant scored two runs each. Stone earned the win in the circle. With the win, Dexter (5-9) moved up to number 10 in the Class C North standings. The top 10 make the tourney. They will end the regular season with a home game against Orono on Tuesday and at Central on Wednesday.

Rebekah Perry-Lind and Makinley Crowley had three hits each for Sumner, who now has a record of 8-4. They will host Searsport on Monday and be at Deer Isle-Stonington on Wednesday.
