Hermon and Hampden played an exciting regular season finale against one another on the baseball diamond on Tuesday evening at Mike Bordick Park. In a very well pitched game, a third inning RBI single by Nykson Moors was enough to push the Broncos to a 1-0 win. Drew McKenney went the distance on the mound, only giving up three hits, while walking none and striking out 14. Hampden (11-5) will be the #4 seed in the Class A playoffs. Mason Kinney also fired a complete game, only allowing one run on three hits, while walking three and striking out 10. Hermon (11-5) will also be a #4 seed when the Class B playoffs begin.

Sports fan all my life. Enjoy all levels- high school, college, and professional. Boston sports fan in the four major sports. My college heart is with Maine Black Bears- also Michigan Wolverines on a more major level for basketball and football. I live in Bangor, have a daughter and granddaughter, and work full-time supporting adults with intellectual disabilities. Sports has been my passion since I was real young- I'm living out a dream being involved with the best sports group in Maine. Hope you enjoy our writings and the website.
