The Boston Bruins won their season opener Tuesday night, 3-0 over the New York Rangers at TD Garden.
Fraser Minten had the game winner at 16:14 of the third period. Boston scored all three goals in a span of 1:15 to get the victory, as JJ Peterka and Mark Kastelic also tallied. Jeremy Swayman made 24 saves. Boston will be on the road at Winnipeg to face the Jets on Friday night.
