Class C girls basketball will highlight a slow Wednesday night on the schedule. George Stevens, Madawaska, and Stearns will look to improve their records to 5-0. George Stevens will travel to Sumner (1-3), while Stearns will travel to Milo for a contest against Penquis (3-0). Madawaska will travel to Fort Fairfield (1-2).
George Stevens is coming off a dramatic win over Bucksport in four overtimes. Morgan Dauk scored 38 points for the Eagles in that victory on Monday night. Stearns defeated PCHS 48-38 on Monday night. Penquis has been a surprise team in the early going in class C. The Patriots have averaged 56.7 points per game, while allowing only 23 points per game through three games. Madawaska is coming off an impressive 40-37 win over Central Aroostook. Woodland (3-0) will travel to Jonesport-Beals. The highlight win for the Dragons came over Narraguagus 51-50 on December 12th.
