Brady and Patriots demolish record books in winning Super Bowl 51

The New England Patriots overcame a 28-9 deficit in the fourth quarter to defeat the Atlanta Falcons 34-28 in Super Bowl LI on Sunday night.

The biggest deficit overcame in a Super Bowl game previously was 10 points. The Patriots trailed 21-0 in the second quarter, 21-3 at halftime, 28-3 in the third quarter, and 28-9 in the fourt quarter. 

Tom Brady won his fifth Super Bowl. Surpassing Joe Montana as most by any quarterback in history. Brady set Super Bowl records with 466 passing yards, 43 completions, and 62 pass attempts. He threw two touchdowns. Brady his fourth Super Bowl MVP.

James White had three touchdowns, including the game winning touchdown in overtime.
